FAQ
When should I book my newborn session?
You should contact me after your 20 week ultrasound to put your due date in the books. Once your baby is born, please call the studio to finalize date. Your date will be scheduled within the first 6 - 21 days of life. If you have a premature birth we will schedule a session once baby is home. Because I do not wrap or pose newborns, I schedule newborn photography up to the first 8 weeks after birth.
Can I bring props for my baby to be photographed with?
I am not a prop photographer and I discourage use of props, costumes, headbands and extensive wrapping because I feel they are more of a distraction to the subject. However, if you have a special family heirloom you would like baby photographed with, I am more than happy to accommodate those requests. We can discuss this during your consultation!
Where will my session take place?
At my in-home studio. My studio is designed specifically to showcase my signature neutral style. All blankets, wardrobe pieces and accessories are curated for their timeless appeal. My home is CAT FRIENDLY(but my studio is cat free), so if you or a loved one has an allergy, depending on the severity of the allergy, I may be not the photographer for you.
What should I wear?
All clients are welcome and encouraged to make selections from my client closet. My closet features a wide range of sizes in timeless styles that showcase my signature limited & neutral color palette. I have pieces for the entire family and you can browse my client closet at your consultation! I want your images to feel timeless and the focus to be on the subject being photographed. My client closet helps ensure consistency in the work I produce for my clients.
How long is my session?
Session length is dependent on the session type. Newborn sessions can take longer to accommodate baby’s needs (settling, feeding, diaper changes etc). We photograph until I am satisfied that I have met your individual portrait needs, or until the baby/child is done. All sessions are baby-led including length of session and type of shots.
What if I want a reshoot?
Reshoots are done at the discretion of the photographer.
When do I get to see my photos?
Approx. 4 weeks after your session you will receive a watermarked online gallery where you will make your final selections. Galleries will be available for 30 days from date of publishing.
